Manager, Volunteer Engagement | Code: VEMGR20
The Volunteer Engagement team is responsible for the development and execution of a portfolio of volunteer service projects, in a number of models, that engage Chicagoans and cultivate their civic involvement. The team executes programs, which vary in size from small groups to more than 1,000 volunteers, inclusive of project development and execution and the education, empowerment and engagement of volunteers. The Manager, Volunteer Engagement will manage a team of talented and committed professionals in executing a portfolio of programs that align with the strategic priorities of Chicago Cares and meet the needs of our community, non-profit, corporate and volunteer partners.

The Coordinator, Administration provides administrative support to ensure the Chicago Cares office and senior leadership have the necessary support to run smoothly and to execute our programs effectively and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Associate Director, Administration, the Coordinator ensures that the Chicago Cares staff, leadership, and Board of Directors are resourced effectively to meet the mission of the organization. The Coordinator executes a set of key administrative duties across the organization’s departments and divisions, as they relate to the operations, finance, and external affairs functions of the organization.
Manager, External Affairs | Code: EAMGR19
The Manager, External Affairs will play a key role on the Chicago Cares’ External Affairs team, helping to strategically cultivate and steward stakeholders and donors to deepen engagement and increase support. The Manager, External Affairs is responsible for cultivation and stewardship of relationships with various donors, with the primary focus on corporate donors and foundations. The Manager will focus on personal contact with current and prospective donors, conducting extensive e-mail, phone, and in-person communication to deepen engagement and increase support. A large percentage of the Manager’s time will be spent interacting with current donors and assisting with prospecting. In addition, the Manager will also be responsible for data entry, donor CRM database support, event support, and other development tasks as assigned.

The Manager, Accounting and Finance provides stewardship and expertise as it relates to financial data, book-keeping and financial management, consistent with Chicago Cares’ mission, strategic priorities, and the needs of our volunteers and partners. They are responsible for leading organizational efforts to ensure a strong, healthy financial position and efficient and innovative financial practices and processes that conform with industry best practices and regulatory standards. Their role ensures teams are able to deliver optimum performance to advance our mission while we assure sound financial stewardship of the organization.
