Senior Breakfast Club at Lincoln Perry Apartments

Description Prepare and serve a hearty breakfast to a lively group of up to 70 low-income seniors and then join them in a spirited interactive game. By bringing residents together for a warm meal and socialization, you will help build community among seniors who often feel isolated. Your participation also expands Lincoln Perry’s capacity for improving residents’ overall quality of life.

Task Breakdown
  • Meal Prep - 2 to 3 volunteers
  • Kitchen Duty - 1 to 2 Volunteers
  • Servers - 2 Volunteers
  • Bingo - 2 to 3 Volunteers
  • Clean Up - All volunteers
Community Partner The Chicago Housing Authority provides rental housing to more than 50,000 families and individuals while supporting healthy communities in neighborhoods across the city. The CHA's Lincoln Perry Apartments offers subsidized housing for low-income seniors who live independently. Lincoln Perry Apartments has been a Chicago Cares partner since 2011 for this project, one of multiple Chicago Cares programs at this site.
