Social Club at Lincoln Perry Apartments
Description Formerly known as Senior Breakfast Club at Lincoln Perry Apartments. During the project, volunteers will engage with residents to promote community and combat social isolation to support residents’ health and wellness. Volunteers will prepare and serve breakfast while participating in guided-conversation activities and a bingo game.
Transit Information This location is accessible via the #4 (Michigan Ave) bus as well as the Green line (35th Bronzeville IIT). Free street parking is also available onsite.
Community Partner The Chicago Housing Authority provides rental housing to more than 50,000 families and individuals while supporting healthy communities in neighborhoods across the city. The CHA's Lincoln Perry Apartments offers subsidized housing for low-income seniors who live independently. Lincoln Perry Apartments has been a Chicago Cares partner since 2011 for this project, one of multiple Chicago Cares programs at this site.
