As a parade registrar volunteer the duties are: Verify parade participant’s registration, give line-up numbers to participants, give instructions as needed and assist participants in lining up in their assigned position.

Volunteers will be able to, give back & help others (better environment for others will be made), make new experiences (experience diverse cultures), create connections (with other volunteers, youth, seniors, etc.) and assist with broadening their skill capacity (initiative development, test a desired career path, problem solve, work more efficiently).

 Partner Information

The Englewood Back to School Parade has been in existence for 57 years.  A day of peace, education, food, fun and entertainment for our youth and their families is offered one day out of the year.  All activities are free of charge.  Groups such as bands, dancing teams and community organizations are welcomed to march in the parade procession.  Giant jumpies & waterslides, food, book bags are given with the basic school supplies, and entertainment geared toward youth are the highlights of the finale.  Yoga demonstrations have also been performed at the finale. During the history of the parade no violence has been reported in the Englewood community on the day the parade has been held.

Other: There is a meet and greet for the volunteers where introductions will take place. Representatives from The Englewood Back to School Parade Committee will be there to answer questions and to meet volunteers and have one-on-one dialogues.
