IMAN's weekly farmers market launches Friday, July 12th! The farmer's market hosts local growers and businesses to offer access to goods that promote a healthy lifestyle.
IMAN will also have arts and culture programming as well as exposure & education events. Volunteers are needed throughout the market season (July 12 - October 25) to help the market run as smoothly as possible and to make it a welcome space for folks to gather and get some good food! Volunteers would support a variety of tasks including but not limited to: assisting vendors, serving food samples, assisting cooking demos, helping with kid’s activities, welcome/sign-in booth management, set-up and break down, outreach (day of or during the week).
IMAN is a community organization that fosters health, wellness, & healing in the city by organizing for social change, cultivating the arts, and operating a holistic health center. IMAN’s weekly farmers market is an extension of this mission and aims to increase access to fresh and nutritious food and support local businesses. 
When & Where
IMAN parking lot - 2744 W 63rd St., Chicago IL 60629
Fridays in July, August, September and October 
The hours of the farmers market are 2-6pm. Set-up begins at 9am and breakdown ends at 7pm. Volunteer shifts are as follows:

Requirements for Service:
IMAN will have a mandatory volunteer orientation. Please plan to be at one of the following dates:
Friday, July 5 from 2-3pm (please arrive by 1:45pm) at IMAN 
Wednesday, July 12 from 4-5pm (please arrive by 3:45pm) at IMAN
