Referral: BravenX Professional Mentor Program

Description

Are you looking to give back in a meaningful way, but you only have a couple hours a week? Look no further! Braven is recruiting volunteers to mentor underrepresented, first-generation college students on the ins and outs of navigating the workforce. Professional Mentors (PMs) will support Braven Fellows on their path to securing quality postgraduate jobs. You will be paired with a recent or soon-to-be college graduate at National Louis University who is interested in your career field, and you’ll provide weekly 1:1 coaching on the job search and application process. The PM role is a great opportunity to pay it forward, gain experience coaching, and build a strong relationship with a mentee.

This volunteer role is especially convenient for professionals with a tight schedule. You will meet with your Fellow once a week virtually and two times in person throughout the duration of the commitment. You and your Fellow can agree on a mutually convenient meeting time that fits both of your schedules.

Impact
As a Professional Mentor, you’ll be able to open the doors to your personal network, help student understand the skills they need to be successful in the professional workspace and help them build and polish their professional portfolio.
