Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
Referral: Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly
Volunteers may visit elderly people in their homes or help facilitate an event or activity. A home visit could be a birthday or holiday gift delivery, grocery bag, or a wellness visit. A visit could also be done by a long-term volunteer, one that commits to visiting an elder twice a month for a year. Volunteers at events or activities help to cook and serve meals, socialize with elder, or accompany elders from their homes to the event.
Volunteers enable Little Brother Friends of the Elderly to meet their mission, as the majority of their programs are volunteer led. Additionally, they are seeking to significantly expand their volunteer corps, in order to engage with more lonely and isolated elders.
