Partner: Breakthrough Urban Ministries operates a community food pantry and separate transitional housing shelters for men and women, equipping residents with necessary tools for self-sufficiency. Breakthrough Urban Ministries has been a Chicago Cares partner since 2009 for this project, one of multiple Chicago Cares programs at this site.
Please note that this project is a partner-led program organized and managed by a community-based non-profit or school – not by Chicago Cares.  Volunteers are subject to the sponsoring organization’s protocol when verifying hours and sustaining injuries, losses, or damages.  Chicago Cares helps our partners out by recruiting volunteers through our free online calendar and also provides partners with volunteer management training, coaching, and technical assistance.  Chicago Cares will not follow up with you about this project; the partner organization is responsible for all volunteer communication.  Please contact the organization directly with any project-related questions.  For any questions about the Chicago Cares website, please contact us at info@chicagocares.org.
