Senior Breakfast Club at Edith Spurlock Sampson Apartments Main

Prepare and serve a hearty breakfast to a group of low-income seniors and afterward join them in a spirited interactive game. By bringing residents together for a warm meal and socialization, you will help build community among seniors who often feel isolated. Your participation also expands the facility’s capacity for improving residents’ overall quality of life.

  • Some participants speak only Spanish or Polish.

  • Easy El access: Brown Line

Partner: The Chicago Housing Authority provides rental housing to more than 50,000 families and individuals, while supporting healthy communities in neighborhoods across the city. The CHA’s Edith Spurlock Sampson Apartments offers subsidized housing for low-income seniors who live independently. Edith Spurlock Sampson Apartments has been a Chicago Cares partner since 2005 for this project.
