My Block, My Hood, My City August Clean Up

In the spirit of interconnectivity and civic duty, join My Block, My Hood, My City as we continue our 'One Block at A Time' Initiative this August. In partnership with Chicago Cares, My Block, My Hood, My City is looking for volunteers to support our neighbors in the Woodlawn community through various beautification service projects. Volunteers will engage in a morning of service, starting at the Jackson Park Fieldhouse for check-in and and kickoff. Volunteers will disperse and serve at various sites throughout the community including community gardens, park and lot clean up sites and a mosaic project with Green Star Movement. All projects will be in walking distance from the Jackson Park Fieldhouse.
Partner:The mission of My Block, My Hood, My City is to help youth overcome the poverty and isolation they may face, boosting educational attainment and opening them to opportunities that make a difference in their lives. Let's do the right thing and play a part in improving our communities and parks, while showing appreciation for those who strive to do so every day.
