Senior Breakfast Club at Armour Square: South

Prepare and serve a hearty breakfast to low-income seniors and then join them in a spirited interactive game. By bringing residents together for a warm meal and socialization, you will help build community among seniors who often feel isolated. Your participation also expands Armour Square’s capacity for improving residents’ overall quality of life.

  • Prepare and serve breakfast for 35 seniors.

  • Easy El access: Red Line

Partner: The Chicago Housing Authority provides rental housing to more than 50,000 families and individuals while supporting healthy communities in neighborhoods across the city. The CHA's Armour Square Apartments offers subsidized housing for low-income seniors who live independently. Armour Square Apartments has been a Chicago Cares partner since 1995 for this project, one of multiple Chicago Cares programs at this site.
