Referral: StandUp for Kids Chicago
DescriptionStandUp for Kids has 3 program evenings in which youth participants are fed a meal, have access to clothing/supplies, and receive assistance through Homework/GED/Resume help, Referral services for housing and healthcare, and health services testing and assessment, as well as mentoring youth.
Volunteers will help stabilize the lives of the youth in transition. Volunteers are needed to provide a good ratio to the # of youth we encounter as well as to provide specialized and specific attention to their needs and assisting them in meeting those needs.
Volunteer Activity Type
- Basic need services
- Meal service
- Individuals (people who come on their own)
- Committed Volunteers (people who can come on a regular basis)
- Skilled Volunteers (pro bono work, volunteers with a specific skill set, etc.)
Volunteers are needed on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-9pm
Requirements for Service

- Training meeting < 2 hours
