Referral: Braven Leadership & Career Accelerator

The Braven Leadership & Career Accelerator, is a rigorous, experiential program in the form of a semester-long course targeted to sophomore college students interested in developing the skills necessary to secure a strong first job. As part of the Braven experience, Fellows particiapte in a variety of opportunities designed to build their awareness while practicing the skills and competencies needed to be successful in the profesional workforce. This Fall, we are looking for volunteers to help Fellows polish their resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile. As well as opportunities to serve on several panels to speak about your professional trajectory and share career advice.
If you are looking for a more meaningful impact, we suggest you look into the Leadership Coach role - launching in January 2019. Leadership Coaches lead teams of students through an experiential leadership and career course. Braven partners each Leadership Coach with 5-8 first-generation and low-income college students. Coaches teach students how to navigate the professional world while participating in a rigorous, 20-week professional development experience in which they get hands-on practice managing diverse, millennial teams.

As a volunteer, you will help Fellows create a strong resume and cover letter as Fellows prepare to apply for internships and jobs. Volunteers empower promising young people from some of Chicago's most vulnerable neighborhoods, on their path to college graduation, strong first jobs, and upward economic mobility.
