Volunteers will be responsible for venue set-up, food prep, serving prepared food, coordinating games at annual event and clean-up. Clean-up may involve lifting (such as putting up and taking down tables, picking up & moving chairs). In June 2019 we will be establishing a memorial garden at Ogden Park, date and time will be determined by the end of this year.


Volunteers will be able to give back and help others (better environment for others will be made), make new experiences (experience diverse cultures), create connections (with other volunteers, youth, seniors, etc.) and assist with broadening their skill capacity (initiative development, test a desired career path, problem solve, work more efficiently).

When & Where

Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the months of February, July, November, and December.

Events usually take place at the 007th Chicago Police Station located at 1432 W 63rd St., Chicago, IL 60636 and at Ogden Park located at 6500 S. Racine Ave., Chicago IL 60636. However, other locations will be chosen based on event and partnerships with other organizations.
